No can do. You can only use a 22 for grouse, ptarmigan, or turkey (except for turkey "shotgun only" fall seasons). Pheasants, doves and quail must be hunted with a shotgun.

I've noticed some flocks of quail at very high elevations lately (5500 ft). Anyone else seeing this? I'd never seen any above 3000 ft in the previous 40 years!
