How deep can you go.....

In the snow? 4x4 with chains, or somebody must be running locking diffs. How much snow can you push before you cannot go any more?
I know it depends on the type of snow, but wonder how much a difference it makes with modified traction devices.
I have a 4runner I'm looking to hook up with better traction.

It depends on the snow, light fluffy stuff the skys the limit, well not quite but if it's packed at all it depends on the clearence of the vehicle.
