I've had enough

Guys, I've been here off and on, and used to be on a few different forums........but have had enough of 24hourcampfire. Too many know-it-all pricks who exist solely to attack others. So, I plan to make this my home.

I reside in Saskatchewan and look forward to participating.

I joined the Campfire some four years ago and found a LOT of really good guys there, however, many of them seem to have left and certain "know-it-alls" now run the show.

I have seen quite a few VERY serious, experience, B.C., Yukon and other Canadian hunters just leave the Campfire and not return and finally I decided in April that I had had enough of the BS there and logged off and will not return.

It may be that since the Campfire IS a commercial venture, the only opinions welcome are those that promote American jingoism and " manifest destiny", that is how it appears to me. But, it is too bad in many ways as there are some DAMM fine guys on the Campfire as well as some total azzholes. I do miss it, but, you are right in your decision, IMHO.

We Canadians NEED a gun forum of our own that is not full of "black gunner" infantile BS and foreign influences.

Red face Lol

LOL at first I thought you were referring to "our" site -- never heard of campfire never been there. Guess I also sat beside the best "campfire" 3 or 4 years ago as well. We did have some real F########holes here but through excellent Moderators and a lot of VERY top knotch members this is the "Camp fire" to sit down at and relax.

AL

on edit: Holy crap been here since Oct 2003!! Guess time really does fly when you are having fun.

I got to love on some sites that the Mod's get the schat pot goin then hide behind cover and then say it wasn't them that got the fire fueled!!!! Then ya call them and ya know the rest!

Been on other sites, but this is home.

Mr.Boo takes care of us all in a good way, lets the fire run into well it gets to a boil but in 99% of the cases it doesn't reach boiling point!

Sure this place can be slow at times but HELL THIS IS THE GRANDFATHER OF HUNTING SITES FOR WESTERN CANADIAN

Now dam put that Camfire coffee back on the fire!

Al your an old man Oct of 2003 eh!

I also visit other sites, but this has always been home for me. Never did spend any time at 24hrcampfire. I have not been here much lately, been spending too much time in the bush I guess.

One of the stores here in Vancity had a Finnlight 85 in .300 WM and I gotta admit, THAT is ONE NICE mountain rifle! I dammed near did it, but, I want to curtail my gear spending now and convince my little cherub that she should retire so that we can move FAR AWAY from Vancouver, like maybe, Nelson or Creston.

Ya know, I never thought that I would EVER say it, but, I have ENOUGH rifles....then, there IS that mag. Mauser .416 Rigby from South Africa on Martini's site.............

Seriously, the Finnlight is, as far as current production rifles go, about as cloe to "perfect" for B.C. hunting as one can hope for and is a lifetime purchase...for any SANE shooters!

For the 9.3 there is no end insight, delivery indefinate. I do have the dies and 100 sako brass. i still have a good medium in a 35whelen so the wait is more tolerable.
