Mileage?

I just figured out that I get 8.9 kilometres per litre in my Nissan pickup highway driving.

Is that good or bad?

That's 25 mpg. Not bad, but consider that I have a 2500HD Duramax diesel that gets 23 - 24 mpg on the highway and is twice as heavy as the Nissan. GM V8 half tonne gassers with the 4.8L get 29 mpg on the highway. Similar Ford gassers get about 27.

The smaller pickups give up a lot on power, and thus mileage suffers because you have to keep your foot into it.

My Chevy short box standard cab 4x4 with 5.7 and 5 speed will do 22-23 mpg highway if I hold the speed at 60 mph. In 5th gear the engine is just ticking over at 1800 rpm at that speed.
