Spring is here ..........

The North end of the lake is open. Hundreds of ducks and loons are swimming around.

I spent an hour or so yesterday whacking gophers with the cross bow.

We spent all day today raking and burning leaves and grass.

Sitting here now with a stiff rum and sore back enjoying the warm weather.

Life is good!

I wonder when the ice will be off Sheridan. We were up there two weeks ago and it was still over 20" thick. Still looks like winter there:

Down here it's been a nice few days. Put in a big cedar deck this weekend and crushed a few corona's on it last night. I can't remeber the last time we had the sun out for more than 24 hours!
