Ungrateful pricks .........

My back is giving me hell today and I feel as surely as a hungry wolverine ........

In any case I am sick & tired of helping people out and not getting so much as a "thank you" in return.

In the last while I have sent out brass and parts to different people and not even got so much as an acknowledgement that they received the packages.

Guy #1 sent me a PM asking if I knew where he could get a firing pin for a BSA Monarch. I replied it was his lucky day as I happened to have one in my parts drawer that I probably would never use. I sent it away and never heard from him again ..................

Guy #2 was looking for some Dominion 30-06 brass. I told him that I had about 100 once fired that he could have for the price of postage. He agreed to the deal and I sent it off along with a note that as the brass was ~50 years old, and had probably age-hardened, he would have to aneal the necks before re-sizing. After I had not heard from this jackass after a month or so I sent him an email asking if he had received the brass. He replied that he had but as he had wanted current production Dominion he felt the stuff I sent him was worthless and refused to pay the $15.00 or so postage.

Guy #3 was an older fellow that posted an add on GunNutz looking for some 38 Special brass. As a co-worker had just given me about 1000 once-fired I tried to "pay it forward" and told the fellow I would sent him a couple of hundred - all he was looking for - for the cost of postage. You guessed it not a word .................

OK, that feels better, rant over! LoL

Red face

Then you get guys like me that bug you about building codes and such and then don't get around to doing anything about it.

But I am hoping to get something going one of these days on the piece of property at Deka.

partsman, No problem as that is quite normal and is what I get paid for. You know where I am once you get all the ducks lined up.

wizzum, I know what you mean and will not stop helping people out when they need it. The vast majority of the guys I help have gone out of their way to return the favour.

Hmmm 50 year old Dominion brass is about as current as it gets.
I know what you mean about some people, I lent a guy my spare tire, because he live close to me and he was going to give it back the next day. A week later I went and took it off his truck.

You're lucky he asked. I lost one of my late father's ladders off my back porch a few years back. Months later, when talking to another neighbour, I mentioned it, and he says "Oh, it's probably at Ray's, he always steals ladders." So I walk over to Ray's and there's my ladder.

On the bright side, Ray's cute wife was in her sheer nighty when she answered the door when I went to give him shit about it.
