B.C. Seniors Games

Any other old far...er, old goats on here besides me? The Seniors Games, which has everything from cribbage to hockey, goes in Abbotsford this week.

Is there anyone else here who shot their zone qualifiers earlier and will be attending the archery event? If you're 55 or older and missed the opportunity this year, I heartily recommend you aim for next year. In 2007, the games are in Nanaimo and the following year they'll be in Prince George. It's a blast - mixture of 3D and regular target shooting out to about 60 yards (55m).

So, if there are some shooters who see this and will be there, let me know. We'll take care of our thirst in the off hours.

Good luck Jack. I hope you make one big hole on the centre of all your targets.

I got into archery a few years ago. I am a member of The Cowichan Bowman but lately for a number of reasons, my archery practice has been at home for the most part. I am also a member of the B.C.Archery Association. What do I have to do to be eligable to compete on the Seniors Games next year?

Having spent a couple days visiting friends at the coast after the games were done, I arrived home tonight. The competition was great and we had a real fun crowd. However, the turnout was lower than desired, especially from the host lower mainland zone. I ended up with the gold in my age group.

Hummer, the games will be situated ideally for you next year as they are in Nanaimo. You need to be at least 55 to get in on them. PM headed your way.
