BCAA and the JOP
The B.C. Archery Association has some great programs for kids, aka their Junior Olympic Program. Just over a week ago, they ran concurrent indoor events in Penticton, Prince George, and Abbotsford with a total participation of 257 archers. This was the B.C. Championships and the format was an 18 m, 2 round shoot at targets of 40, 60, or 80 cm, depending on each archers current level.
Our small club in Grand Forks had one representative, who shoots with a recurve and - I must say - does it well. He won his division of 15 shooters. So we're all jumping up and down with delight for him. Kudos to the BCAA for doing such a great job of sponsoring this type of activity. |
