Canadian 900 round
OK, the Canadian 3D championships are just finished, held out west in Prince George this year; a great opportunity for B.C. shooters to participate. I'm afraid I missed it.
But there are other archery events available. Anybody old like me and going in the B.C. Seniors Games this year? It's in Penticton Sept 1-3. The type of shooting is called a Canadian 900 round. Each archer shoots 90 shots per round, 30 from 35m, 30 from 45m, and 30 from 55m. Each arrow can score from 10 down to 1 (or 0, I suppose), so a perfect round will get you 900. I'm really excited about this and it will be a blast. But it means missing the archery deer opener for the first time since I started hunting with a bow. As soon as the games are over, the equipment gets a fast and furious metamorphosis into hunting mode.

Canuck2, if we are not picking apples I will come down and cheer you on, mind you if you hear me cheering for some of our Penticton shooters also, no offense intended. Hell, if it is to hot to be chasing the critters around you may be camped in my yard. We might be able to talk about things over a glass of beer.

Foxer, the folks over at bowzone.ca are currently working with a Canadian outdoor sports channel called WildTV to try and get the channel added to some line-ups and also to have some of these events televised. I hope it all comes together for them!
