Carbon arrows

I am just making the switch to carbon arrows for my recurve? I am curious if any other "traditional" (I use that term loosely!) hunters are using them and just what you think of them.

Thx.

Carbon Express makes a good carbon arrow called the heritage series. And while I have not used them on any animals....yet. I have bounced them of off rocks and metal at 3D shoots, and glanced them off of trees and they are still as straight as the day they came outa that plant. This is from a 56 pound long bow.

So they appear to be dam near indistructable at least when compared to metal and wood aras which I also use. And todays carbon appear to be some what defferently designed that those of old.

If you go to the Terrace Whiskey Jacks archery club you will see a few tradional bows flinging carbon.

I to use carbons instead of aluminums. The biggest issue is getting a decent weight without having to use weight tubes etc. I have been using carbon express Heritage arrow. They have been great. VERY tough! They are heavly spined so you should shoot some before purchasing to ensure they work for you. If you come by the club I have both 250's and 350's you could shoot. My arrows are in approximately 560 grains.

I use Gold Tip carbon arrows. I've yet to kill with them but they are accurate and fast in my Q2.

I use Beeman ICS Hunters and am very pleased with them. The animals I have shot have been pass throughs and could have picked the arrow up, cleaned it off and shot it again.
