Elk hunting in BC

Hi, I am new to the board and was looking for some info on archery elk hunting in the Kootenay. I saw a website for a BC outfitter and had a few questions. Have any of you guys heard about Sawtooth Outfitters? It looks they they ahve a good package for elk, bear. How is the elk hunting in the Kootenay area? Is September 30 too late for the rut? What size elk are out there? Are Texas hunters welcome in BC?
Thanks I would appreciate any info.
Good Luck - hunt safe.

Welcome to the site, TX archer. Texas hunters are certainly welcome here, although our laws require that anyone from outside the country employs the services of a licenced guide. I'm afraid I don't know anything about Sawtooth Outfitters but perhaps someone else can give you some info.
