It will be my first bow hunt.

I hope this hot weather doesn't result in the closing of the forests as I like to chase the whitetail around on the first of September. Then it's a week of rutting action in November.

I love to bow hunt from a tree stand so if I can get one over a good scrape that is what I like best.

Cool, a designated archery page. Thumbs up to Cariboo.

I have begun to pattern a number of bucks, watching from a distance as they travel from beds to grub in the evening and the opposite direction in the early morning. Looks like some nice ones this year.

Like walksalot, I will be after whitetail in early September and then again in late November. But I'll miss the Sept 1 opener this year, for the first time in living memory. The B.C. senior games are Sept 1-3 and I'm headed for that, a new experience that should be fun.

Here's my buck from last year.

We will be filming the last leg of my goat video this fall, three bowhunts and 1 more rifle hunt for those old cagey billies! We will be hunting here in the Kootenays again, but I might slip over to AB and hunt mulies with a friend of mine to! Plus a good friend of mine drew a west Kootenay elk tag in a unit I killed a big bull in in 96, so I'll be filming that hunt in Sept.
