first time

I just bought an excalibur crossbow and im headed towards cranbrook or anywhere else that has elk ,I need any help on where to go or any advice. IM not afraid of hiking .Im fully geared with a quad ,sazuki,and zodiac with an outboard jet.Im just missing the knowledge.

Just bought a crossbow and your trying to poke an elk??? Please tell us youve practiced tons and tons, and yer very confident with your weapon, you owe it to the elk your trying to bag!

have you ever shot a crossbow. It doesnt take much practice ,but yes I shoot everyday at a 3d range 5 minutes from my estate. I was born at night.

Yes I have shot a crossbow and i also own one! I agree that once you sight em in at a target of known range they are very easy and consistent to use, but if you are new to bowhunting there is alot to learn and estimating distance is still a critical factor which takes lots of practice! Just dont be one of those people that will give the bowhunters a bad name! Good luck on your elk!
