Good Weekend

I had a great weekend, took a non-hunter from BC with me and downed a spike buck with the bow at 25 yards. We tracked him for 200 yards and found him piled up on side of the road.

The fellow I took with me had never had deer meat before, did some strap steaks up on the bbq for him and now he is hooked. Not a bit of gamey taste at all, I had soaked the steaks in salt water overnight and marinated them for 10 hours.

The young fella is going to come out here with me next year to go on a hunt.

Didn't get any pics of the buck because it ended up getting too dark when we found him. Not very often you go our with someone once for a few hours in the afternoon and get to bag one.
