Thats good to hear 300, like I said, I had shot at a few when I was a kid, but never got any. Did hit a few gophers though, with field points.

I am going on a deer hunt in a few weeks, up to Kamloops area. If I see any grouse I will try and take em with the bow. Should be good fun.

I've taken quite a few with my Bows, do yourself a favor and buy some cheap arrows, if you're like me you will loose or break quite a few of them.
Blunt or bird loop heads work well.

I shot lots of grouse with the bow. Judo points on a carbon arrow and your golden. I never go hunting with out the extra bird arrow.

Aim at the base of the neck, you loose less meat and any hits a killing hit. Never had one fly off.

This was short work for me and the bow, I think it took 5 minutes between me and my friend to take 5 grouse.

When I used to bow hunt more often, i killed man grouse wiht a long bow. I used flu-flu arrows with blunts, and regular arows wiht feild tips, that I dilled through, and epoxied in some long wires. Seemed to knock over grouse okay, and I'd run up ad finish them..

Yup. Got one last season. I use SGH. Small Game Heads. They're designed to continue spiraling after they hit the target. These things don't kill, they destroy.

Be careful shooting them while they are in trees! It can get expensive replacing arrows as I found out last year. Don't even comment on this! *kidding*

You just need to make sure your shooting into the trunk... and have somebody willing to climb up for the arrows!

blunts

i never carry blunts on my bow anymore . took a shot a a deer and went over its back into a tree with my broadhead was trying to remove it from the tree when i noticed the deer was still standing about twenty feet away so i grabed another arrow and shot .she fell dead in thirty feet . when i caught up to my buds the asked what i shot it with because i had mentioned that the blade had snapped off the arrow . so i check and sure enough my broadheads where all there just missing one of my practice ones
