When you say that most shots are going high why not raise the sight which will lower the point of impact. Make sure the peep is the right height. Draw your bow back with your eyes closed and adjust the peep to where the top pin is centred within the peep when you open your eyes.
The bow jumping up and kicking back has me puzzled, I have a Powertec with no stabalizer and the bow has very little hand shock or kick back. Yours should have next to none also. I would contact the person you bought the bow from and pick his/her brain. A loose grip is conducive to accuracy. |

Heya Sitka. Nice to see you decided to join the stick and string gang.
As for your prob. If you are getting consistent good groups then your shakes aren't affecting how you shoot too much. the kickback can be tamed with a heavier a/or longer balancer. I have a strap on my bow and shoot open handed my old Browning without a wrist strap I shot with my pointer finger touching my thumb tip not griping the bow at all Did you have someone at the bow shop/range watch you shoot sometimes they can correct a prob like this by bow tuning or moving your knock point. Keep me posted on how its going. As a side note I always drift right on my shots if I hold too long, I just compensate by aiming further left on long holdover's. I allso got an awsome amature video, bow kill shot on a moose if you want to see it P/M me with an e/mail addy to send it to you if youd like. |
