well the shoots over and done with! My wife and son won their respective categories, both shooting strong on both days!. I managed to hold off my fellow competitor from Williams Lake for 2nd place by putting up a 382, 388 for a total of 770! First was never really in question as the fellow who won shot an amazing 398/400 saturday and shot 396 today for an incredible 794/800 total.....and this was by no means an easy course. I'm sure he has a long standing deal with Satan to be able to post scores like those!! I did manage to pick up $42 for hitting 2 cash spots so that was a bonus!!

The shoot itself was very well received and particularly by the traditional shooters who were raving about the set-up as we catered to them, managing to create three courses out of two allowing 5-25yd shots for the cubs, 15-35 yd shots for the traditonals and 20-50yd shots for the adult compounders! Not an easy feat with a fixed shooting line in an indoor event!! All in all a very pleasant week-end! Hope to see a few more folks out for this one next year!!

Chris I see that the next shoot is slated for april 23-24 what can you tell me about it . good to hear the shoot went well for you and the family.

the shoot on the 23-24th is hosted by the Quesnel Archers and will be held at the Pioneer Park trails. It will be the standard 40 targets per day, cash spot shoot and door prizes etc....the usual!! There is camping on site with a concession running both days and usually a pretty good turn-out! This is usually a pretty good time as lots of the locals like myself also camp out for the week-end. Broken Arrow Bowhunters, the other club in town will also be having a 2 day outdoor shoot the mothers day week-end....pretty much same deal as above but the venue is different and an "EXTREME" option is offered! You can shoot regular stakes if you prefer but the Extreme course is a hoot!! This one is also heavily attended by the locals and the meal Saturday night is generally far beyond compare for anything you will find at any 3d shoot!

Hope to see lots of you good folks at both these shoots this year!! And if your coming up let me know and I'll throw an extra wobbly pop in the cooler for ya!!
