Angry Wrecked my bowarm, dammit...(rant)

Not too happy with myself about now. It's been a month since I pulled/tore the muscles in my left arm while hanging my deer in the garage. The recurves I purchased are here and I can't even draw the little 30# Darton I bought for my wife without extreme pain It's slowly healing but I'm drooling over the CheckMate Hunter T/D and Wing Thunderbird. Can't wait to launch a feathered, cedar shaft and watch the arrow's flight toward the target. But until this injury is healed, I won't push it...groan ...(misery)...KF

Ouch!
That sucks.

If you try anything, try physiotherapy.

The few times I've been dibilitated with an injury beyond a simple muscle pull, therapists have helped me out immensely.

Don't know if you've tried it. If not, it might be worth investigating.

I think you need some good old let-off to help through these tough times, HMMM 65% or 80%

Well...I suppose I could lower the weight on the old Martin Cougar to 35#. But I'd still be worried about re-injuring the arm, so I'll just have to wait it out and then slowly work up I normally halve deer, but this time my wife and I tried to hang that big whitetail whole She couldn't quite get the hook to reach the crossbar, so I gave the old mighty heave and then let go with the right to assist her with the gambrel hooks and so, had the entire buck lifted in the air with just my left arm I guess that big old buck was a tad too much and pulled the left forearm and bicep muscles I feel like a wimp as I used to hang moose quarters alone like nobodies business In the future, I'll use my quad's winch together with a snatchblock...with age comes wisdom ...KF aka "Wimpy"

Here's the arm wrecker...

How many times have we said to ourselves "if I had it to do over again" or "next time".
I injured my shoulder and missed most of last seasons 3D shoots. I am a dedicated compound shooter but had the shoulder not improved I was totally prepared to purchase a crossbow.
