Here's a couple we enjoy.

Barbecued Salmon with Basil

4 Salmon steaks (6 to 8 ounces each) thawed if necessary.
2 tb Lemon juice
2 tb Olive oil
1 ts Dried and crushed basil
Lemon wedges

Combine lemon juice, olive oil and basil; brush on both sides of salmon. Grill over medium hot coals 10 minutes per inch of thickness or until fish flakes when tested with a fork. Serve with lemon wedges.
Serves 4

Barbecued Salmon with Blueberry Salsa

1 Pacific salmon fillet, about 1 1/2 lbs
Blueberry Salsa
1/2 lg Pink grapefruit
2 tb Red onion, finely chopped
1 Jalapeno Pepper, chopped
1 ts Honey
1 tb Lime Juice
1 c Blueberries, fresh or thawed
2 tb Fresh Cilantro, chopped

Section pink grapefruit amd discard membrane. Dice grapefruit and mix with other salsa ingredients. Prepare the barbecue and oil the grill well. Cut the salmon into 4 serving portions. Barbecue skin down over medium high heat for about 10 minutes per inch of thickness. Spoon salsa over salmon or serve on the side.

Half a cup of brown sugar, add enough soya sauce to make it almost runny, tablespoon of Dijon mutard, salt and pepper. Smear it on the fish fillet, barbeque it skin side down first, then turn it over. Works in an oven too.

or, almost like the other recipe here; Smear fillet with olive oil, add grated garlic (as much as you like) some use one clove or lots, dust with crushed basil , salt and pepper and barbeque away!

Again, works in an oven.

Mayo and basil is another good dressing.

Chop up some garlic and ginger. (pickled ginger from a Japanese store is great for this)

Add a little orange juice, Soy sauce and a few splashes of whiskey.

Throw in a little bown sugar, and cracked black pepper, too.

Marinate a few hours or overnight.

You can grill it, roast it, or my favorite, throw it on a water soaked cedar plank and roast it in your BBQ...

I didn't give amounts, because I usually make the marinade in about 5 litre amounts...

This is all good info.
So Clark, I have seen these planks at Superstore, they are a good way to do it I take it.
Always wondered about using them, I was over at my Parents in North Van and my youngest brother showed up with three good size Coho's, so I managed to score half of one.
Guess I should buy a plank.

Hell, don't buy a plank for $50 or whatever...

Cut a plank form a cedar block with your chainsaw, or get a few UNTREATED cedar shakes from the local building supply.

If you take one cedar round of decent size, and rip off a few planks with your Husky, you are laughing...Just wash it off well so you don't have any sawdust on it, and then soak it in water for a few hours so it doesn't catch fire..

Cedar is toxic in large amounts, so dont' make dinner every day on it

Thanks for the info Clark.
Looks like me and a buddy will head up to Marshall lake with a canoe and two ATV'S and he wants to hunt Relay Creek area.
He actually had planned more on fishing, but I kinda let him know I planned on hunting if I am going to be in the bush.
