Thumbs up receipe

the easiest way to cook wild turky is the simplest
make sure the bird is thawed
rub inside cavity with yuor spices( best to use alittle salt pepper and dryed savory)
then make a few small slits in skin all over bird then push butter or margerine
into slit
sprinkle bird with dryed savory and cook at 350 till done(if stuffing the bird make sure temp in the center of stuffing reaches 185 degrees on meat thermomiter
stuff that can be used is simple but my faveorite
1/4 to 1/2 butter or margerine
1 can mushrooms
1 dice onion large
1 green pepper diced large
3 celery stalks choped
6 cups bread cubed(fresh preferred)
2 tablespoons poultry seasoning
1 teaspoon saveroy
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons pepper
sautee all veg till half tenderin margerine or butter
then add bread and combine and mix well till liquid is incorperated and everything is evenenly hot
stuff bird with hot stuffing then into oven (hot stuffing cuts down on cooking time) cook at 350 till done
