260 Rem Load.....

Found My Muley Load.........Finally

260 Remington
Nosler 125 Partition
48.2 Grains 4831sc
Rem Brass
CCI Mag Primers

This is slightly above Book Max(48.0) so be careful, I worked up from 45.0 grains in .2 increments.
48.2 with my seating depth completely fills the case with NO compression...the bullet just nestles into the charge.

3 consecutive shots into an average 1"+- ...not terribly Bad for a Stock Ti with it's whippy barrel and certainly a step up from the 2" averages I was getting with intial Factories and handloads. Does better with some cool off time in between but I prefer 3 successive shots as this matters more in the field.

Should definately tighten up with some more "Accurized" reloads and a few minor rifle mods (better trigger adj. and a Bedding job will definately help)
Next Time I'll bring along the chrony to Really see what's going on.

It's tough to shoot a 5-3/4 LB rifle well with a 3-1/2 LB trigger...at least for me Definately Need some more range time with it

Man was it Pouring in Heffley today though...Should help the Fire situation....abit anyways.
Can't wait for Muley season

Most likely I'll move out to 200 and 300 Meters for some "Printing" as well...eventually.
I do want to Chrony things 1st just to confirm what I think.
We did have some Quick fun and took a few "sighters" in at the 200-300 and 400 Meter Steel, didn't have too much trouble hitting things out to 300 anyways
Yep should work pretty good for a Deer Rifle

48.5 grs of H4831sc with a 120 Nosler BT would STACK at 100 meters in my first 260, a LSS Mtn rifle

Funny How although I've been known to play with the Big Mags from time to time
I always go back to the 308 Based Cartriges
I guess they work

Anyone loading for the 120 grain TSX in the 260?

I've got a pile of leftover IMR 4350 and I think I'll be trying a load with it before I move on and try H4831sc which I hear so much about in the 260.

Just lookin for any info on 120 tsx loads....thanks!
