I've shot a couple deer with 140gr. Nosler Accubonds and they performed really well. The Accubonds should work well on moose and bear too, but if you want extra penetration maybe look at the 140gr. TSX.

Which Bullet
Alot depends on where you aim. If your more of a Behind the Shoulder Heart/Lung shooter I'd go with either an Interbond or an Accubond.
If your a Shoulder shooter (I am), I'd go with an X of some flavor. Alot of people have what they think, is bad performance with X Bullets, with behind the Shoulder shots, and visey-versey with a Bonded Bullet. Understanding the difference in Bullet construction & design goes a long way, as does what is to be expected from them. But in the end, remember shot placement trumps all in the Game getting department. 1.5-2" groups @ 100 yards with any of the above, will be killing accuracy out to the ranges you mentioned. Its a real fun ordeal, working this stuff out!

270 loads
I've reloaded and targetted a bunch of 270's. I use 130 gr tsx for serious stuff and 130 hornady for plinking. Most 270s are not fussy about bullets.
Most important is reloader 22 powder I use 60.0 gr. for both bullets, usually tsx bullets will outshoot anything else. |
