308 Norma Load

Hey Gang,

Just wondering if anyone happens to have the load for the 308 Norma Mag, I just bought a box of 220grain and my book doesnt have in. I have the old number 1 book from Nolser.

If anyone has a current Nosler book the load is for the 220grain Part.

Powder would be either IMR 4350 or IMR 4320

Thanks

SW

I have #2,3,5 and 6 Nosler Manuals and cannot find a load for the 220NP. I "know: what I WOULD load with H-4831, but, obviously, I won't post that here.

I would add, that the 200NP is a "better" choice, overall, for the .308N., a SUPERB cartridge, just excellent, than the 220. I would load 200NPs for hunting and 200 Speers for practice and I have done this in my .300H&H rifles with great success.

Call Nosler on their customer service line and ask one of their ballisticians, they are really nice folks and can give you the best advice.

Thanks,

That is what I think I will do is get ahold of Nosler, I was hoping to use the 220 on my buffalo this fall.

Or I still have time to grab a box of 200's

I can always run the 220 through my '06.

In my 308 Norma Magnum, I've been using the 200gr Sierra SBT and IMR 4350 but I'm now in the 'process' of changing over to Barnes TTSX. The Sierra manual has loads for the 220gr RN.
