45-70 hard cast

Been working on some new loads for the Marlin GG in 45-70. 43gr of H4198 pushing 420gr hard cast GC at 1800fps. Fed 210 primers and Win Brass. The group of five in the upper left is the most recent group from a cold barrel at 150yds .Point of aim is the center bull. That same load lands 1in. below center bull at 200yds

Thumbs up

I Love those big .45 calibre holes!

I think you have found a load that will put the hurt on anything you point it at.

old post but i figured i could add to this..

I also tryed this load with some Hard Cast 405Grain TLG Gas Checks from Bullet Barn..

amazing load.. 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch at 100 Yards NP. and smooth kick aswell it was nice.

reloader 7 gave me a similar result..
