Berger bullets

Just curoius what people are finding with these bullets. I bought a box to try last fall in my 7MM and daughter's 7MM-08. Both guns really seem to like them - I can shoot tighter groups (just slightly) than ballistic tips. My only experience with game shot with same was my daughter shot her 3rd. deer with one last year and all I can say is ... totally amazing knock down. I have seen animals shot with you name it. The deer she shot was a broad side with abit of an angle. Well she hit just behind the shoulder and blew out the other shoulder. Well the bullet went in like a laser for 3 inches before there was total disaster. The far shoulder was entirely distroyed. What shocked me was that the deer dropped and was dead instantly. I have never seen anything like it. The deer didn't kick or try to move. I was convinced that there must have been fragmentation into the spine but on careful surgical examination (I can claim professional experience in this) there was nothing even close to the spine. My friends there was NO wound, shockwave fractures, etc. to anything near the spine.
So group let me know what you have found. I have to say I was NOT one bit impressed by the Berger's first video (I'm convinced each of those animals were spine shot) but after my experience I'd have to say this one may need a second look.

Berger fragment easily. On deer they are fine but as you saw there was a lot of meat damage. On moose or elk I would be hestitant to use them as they don't penetrate and hold together like a partition or similar bullet. They are however a very accurate bullet.
IMHO

I agree ... devastation absolutely - meat damage absolutely. I like my game shot with a TSX personally ... can eat right up to the bullet hole. Just can't get over the knockdown of Berger.
