Question GS Custom HV Bullets

Just wondering if anyone here has any experience with GS's Custom HV Bullets? They're made in South Africa, so I don't quite know how familiar NA hunters might be with them...

While I am happy with the Nosler 180 grain partitions in the 300 WBY, of course I am always interested in just a little more performance. One of my buddies, an outfitter by trade, tried these bullets out last season. He reported faster speeds per bullet weight / powder charge than the regular literature suggests, extreme accuracy at distances of 300 yards plus, and effective performance on elk, moose and mulies. All sounds good to me!

So, I am thinking of taking the leap and ordering a hundred or so to try out. Specifically thinking of their machined 308177HV198 bullet carrying a ballistic coefficient of greater than point six. Looks like a winner to me for the long range efforts...

More info on their HV bullets can be found at: GS CUSTOM BULLETS - HV Bullets

Specific bullet at: GS CUSTOM BULLETS - Specifications for use

So, can anyone offer some insight or advice regarding this bullet? Certainly would be appreciated!

Cheers,
Iron

Arrow

Well from the response, I take it no-one has tried these little beauties.
Had a few of the Old Boyz Club review these, and their take was it looks Good To Go.
So, guess I'll be trying them out later in the summer.

Letcha know if they perform as advertised...

Cheers,
Iron

I am curious to know how these bullets perform. Looks like they make quite a good selection.

Where are you buying them from? I might be tempted to try a few myself.

A friend and I have used these bullets for about three years now they are great bullets. I think his photo is on the web site. We have the 75 grain 243 bullet loaded .Not sure the powers and the load data but pretty sure we are pushing about 3700 fps. We love the bullets. My friend has killed elk, bear, caribou and deer with these bullets. The peformance is great. The stuff on the web site is for real. Give them a try
