A little too high....

OK here goes...

specs: 30 cal Magnum 180 nosler partiton at 2950fps handloads

It's sight currently in at the following
50 yards 2.5" high
100 yards 6" high avg
200 yards 7.5 high avg

I have a leupold vari-x ll with weaver mounts, the scope is adjusted all the way down. The way its sighted in is a little to high for me, usually 1" @100 yards.

Now according to some of my info the bullet drop form 100yrs to 200 yrds should be about 3". Why is mine still climbing? Scope not set up right?

All in all, my goal is 1"high @100yrds. what are some of my options to achieve this?

Are you sure your' dialing the Elevation the right way ?
Sounds like it's adjusted all the way "up" to me....especially given your numbers ???
If it is adjusted incorrectly(down) then you either have a Faulty scope or Mounts.
Given you said Weaver Mounts I'd start there.....

anything higher than 3" @ 100 is too high for me

Try taking it to a " smith" and have it bore sighted, and work it out from there.

Might be needing a shim on the rear mount.......?

Bore sighting will get it figured out.
