Fish finder for my pontoon boat

Looking for a finder for my boat. I dont know much about them so all the help I can get would be great. Of course I dont want to spend a lot on a first one.

IMO a good set-up would be a 'Fishin'Buddy'. self contained, clamp on to anything. easy to move to car-topper, bellyboat, dockside, whatever.

Ive been told that before by a fella that lives in his neopremes. Does it have the ability to pick out weed beds and such, good bottom contours? $99.00 at Cabelas right now cant go to wrong. You see those wrist watch fish finders? They work good or are they "Dick Tracy"?
