I have a place just minutes from Watch lake. Fishing can be fantastic on that lake and they seem to be getting bigger in the past couple of years.

When things are slow I do OK with an Idaho Nymph. If there is lots of surface activity I also will go to a small black chironomid only 2-3' down from the indicator.

I hear they are studying to switch that lake to a trophy managed fishery. Less stock more restrictions and possibly catch and release. It does have wicked hatches it's just over stocked.

Fish don't taste good out of Watch lake unless you are ice fishing. I'll ice fish Green any day over Watch though. Bigger fish and just maybe the best tasting rainbows in the southern Cariboo. You have a chance of catching a large Kokanee there also.
