Talking Fresh Trout for Supper!

Took the hound up to one of my favourite lakes today for a few hours of ice fishin'. Kept 2 nice trout for supper.

Frosty day for those of us with whiskers:

Checkin' out one of the fish:

Looks like a good time.

We were out a couple of weeks ago and we limited quickly on brook trout through the ice. 3 hours later they were filleted out and sizzling in a frying pan!

So, were you 'still' fishing, or trolling open water with the quad ?

You will be pleased to hear that I WALKED across the lake to my fishin' spot! With my snowmobile suit on, lots of snow and carrying all my gear I found out how outta shape I am from the Xmas pig-out!

What lake were you fishing? I went out with a buddy in the middle of last week for some perch. Had a good day with a few trout thrown in for a bonus...

He's pretty good most of the time, but if he picks up a scent or sees other dogs, he sometimes goes deaf for a while. And there's no way in hell I can catch up to him. Hence the rope!
