sockeye

Fishing was awesome this evening as my friend and I had our socks within the first hour! We had it a bit tougher than most as it seemed everyone else got theirs in only a couple of casts! Socks became a nusence trying for a spring lol...... Hopefully get out for another couple tommorow.

The boat launch at deroche is sure alot beter now. There is a guy at the gate taking your six bucks to launch which doesent bother me a bit.He is keeping track of who is coming and going. The added bonus is that he acts as 'referee' at the end of the day at the launch. He is right in there directing traffic and keeps things flowing nicely. No more idiots that think they are more important jumping there place in line ,also eliminates the guy who hogs the ramp for ten minutes securing his boat, breaking down his rods, combing his hair, counting how many corkies he has left...you know the guy.Way better

T-bone,

What bar were you fishing at? Was it crazy busy or just the regular sockeye blitz crowD?

Fish'n between Pegleg 'n' Gill! Taking my boat tends to avoid the crowds a bit. Today yes was a bit different of a story getting 2 Socks and a White Spring 25+ lbs in the middle of the circus!!!!

I was fishiing the bar just below scale bar on mon not much happeing a few fish, but I seen a guy have a heat attack about 200 yards down the bar and a few guys were doing cpr and a guy ran to get his truck to get him out,but I was very dissapointed in all the people who looked like they could care less and actually took his spot and every on else just keptfishing, and I actually herd one guy making jokes"I guess he got to excited' and laughing, it took the paramedics at lest 30 min to walk down the bar, walkin slowy takin there sweet time,I'm not sure if he made it,hope so, Just an overall bad day

4Point,

I have read that a buddy was the guy doing CPR on the fellow, word has it the man in question didn't make it.

Very sad indeed, I read on a couple of fishing sites some of the people there are still pretty shaken up by what happened.

I have found you always get a couple of Jack @$$ in every crowd.
