HiYa Folks,

aYup, that time of year again. Just switched hats from commercial trolling over to sport guiding again. And, the fish are already being downright cooperative!

The hali's have once again moved up onto the flats of the Big Bank, and are rather hungry this year it seems
Springs too can be found out that far, we often simply troll the right gear down close to the mud, and you never know whether a spring or a hali will race down your offering first!

The hali's have thinned somewhat on the inner banks, but a few can still be found with some patience. The springs have been going off right well on the inside for the past couple of weeks. Places like the Southbank, Lighthouse Bank, Sou'West Corner, and even into Barkely Sound have been producing well! Starting to look like the big mature springs may follow the pattern they established last year, and run towards their home waters right tight to the beach. Sweet with the gas prices what they are this day and age!

Still have the odd opening left, but the pressure is heating up for those. Suspect it won't be too long, and this year's Dance Card will be full. If anyone's interested in sneaking out there with this Old Salty Dawg, give my buddy Paul a call and tell him Matt sent you along. He'll do what he can to fit you in...

Well, that's the state of things over on the Real West Coast. Once again looking to be a rather HOT summer! Hope to see a few of you out there enjoying the bounty Mistress Pacific has to offer!!
