That is a beauty for sure, but I have seen some pretty impressive bucks here on the Island, that would give that one a run for the money. Trouble is all the really big ones I have seen are right in town, in no hunting areas. Even a bow is off limits..

I know that mainland blacktails can "mix it up" with mulies in some areas, so they can get pretty huge. Anyone know for sure the area of the province that one was taken?

Hmmm it actually is a Blacktail..lol ..and was more luck than skill but since it was taken in the lower mainland it is within the "boundaries for blacktails" nad the original biologist said it exhibited complete blacktail characterisitics but hell who knows the lineage ????

their is still one wall with the second oldest grizzly bear ever recorded in Canada...when I get ambitious I will post his photo he covers that wall..with 6" pure white claws..sqars 7 1/2 feet.... mountain bear....miserable SMART old old old boar....pretty proud of him also..

cheers
Steven
