Funny thing about recoil. You feel it when your sighting in at the range but the first time you pull the trigger on a buck you won't notice it at all! Lot of deer taken with a 303. Good luck!

If you get a piece of that blue foam sleeping pad and safety pin it to your jacket,it helps a great deal.

And it never changes! I still to this day don't recall the recoil on any shot on an animal.

My first gun was a 303 British when I was 13, great place to start. Have fun with it, and Good Luck!!

Yup well except once, there is one specific recoil I will always remember......note to self,always keep a snug grip on the forestock of a .338

Have him reload some 150 grain bullets for you. My wife can shoot those all day.

Managing recoil on any rifle is pretty much controlled by how you are trained to hold the rifle. Good cheek weld, firm pull into the shoulder. Also when you are excited, and about to shoot an animal....you won't even remember the recoil.
