blockade petition

Ok I created an online petition to start to collect signatures against the illegal blockades in BC. Please feel free to link to this petition in as many places as you can think of. We need all the signatures we can get. Feel free to e-mail it out to everyone also. If we don't stand up and shout no one will hear us.

Every person doing this should be arrested and our Police and politicians should publicly state zero tolerance.

Good luck with that. The natives have huge sympathy in the larger centers (where all the votes are and people dont actually get to see they're tax dollers at work first hand). If such wasnt the case the very first blockade would have been dealt with by the military and it would have been the last.

blockade

i defineately understand how you feel about their blockade . i have a few questions about it .Did they have any justifiable reason for doing it . Is the moose herd in that area healthy .If they have no real reason and i suspect
their motives . then they should be charged with interfering with a hunt . the only reason i would have an issue with this is that our goverment doesn't always know where their ass is located let alone moose numbers .
Does anyone know if the gov is even doing moose counts anymore

Im quite sure moose numbers has nothing to do with it. It has to do with money. Or possibly some political agenda that has to do with money. Dont kid yourself with smoke and mirrors, its always about money.

Money makes the world go around. If that's all it would take to get the blockade down then they should just give them some. The govt has enough to rebuild roads, schools, hospitals etc in Afganistan....why not a little bribe to the indian road blockaders??

Our own provincial govt is spending lavishly to court rich people at the olympics, well over $1million at the last reports I heard...why not spread the wealth around a little in the north and give them a little dinero??

I have come to believe that we should END ALL funding of ANY type to ALL aboriginals, both individuals and groups. I also think, that, as Canada is now an independent nation, that ALL "treaties" between Great Britain and ALL aboriginals MUST be abrogated by an Act of Parliament and declared null and void. NO repeat NO special treatment for ANYONE in Canada.

If, they want "war" as so many of them continually whine that they do, well, create a special force in brigade strength, from returning Afganistan vets, seeded and trained by JTF2 laddies and give them what they want.......

I will NEVER allow an Indian to blockade me from going anywhere in Canada that I wish to and any attempt to harass me....well, MY "cultural traditions" REQUIRE a forceful response to such a stupid move.

I regret to say I have to agree with Kuteny. I think enough is enough. Our taxpayers and economy just cant afford this crap anymore. "Consulting with First Nations" just means how much is it going to cost to get you out of the way.
