Boating safety survey for Hunters and Anglers
Hi all,
I work with a research group based out of Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. For the past year or so I've been working on a project that is looking at boating safety from the perspective of Canadian hunters and anglers. I've talked to sportsmen in the Maritime provinces, Ontario, and I'm just starting in Western Canada. The intent behind this project is to provide feedback to Transport Canada on some of their policies, learn more about the boat safety priorities of Canadian sportsmen and figure out some new ways of promoting boating safety to new boaters of all types. Part of this project involves a survey, and I was hoping that some of you might be interested in participating. The survey takes about 15 minutes to complete, and it asks questions about average hunting or fishing trips, use of PFDs and other safety gear as well as what you think about things like the PCOC, different safety issues and so on. When you are finished, you have the option of entering a draw for a $50 Canadian Tire gift card. Comments and suggestions are welcome, as are questions. My contact information is included on the survey and on my group's website. Here is the link to the MARIN Group website Thanks for your time, Brian C |
