Decision, decisions..LEH entry?

I am still trying to decide what to choose for the three LEH entry's that I bought. I better make up my mind pretty quick as I got to make sure they get to Victoria in time.

I always love moose hunting, so one entry will definitely go toward that. Love the meat, and really seeing enjoy the country they roam.

Living on the Island, although the odds are slim, I will use another entry for Island elk. Been trying for one for 20 years..so maybe this will be the year..worth a shot anyways..

Now I'm stuck on what to enter for with my third entry. I thought..hmm I mainly like to eat wild game, and am not really into trophy hunting.

Anterless deer seems to come to mind first off, but when I started thinking about it, it doesn't really make sense. There are lots of deer here on the Island, and I wouldn't have to deal with the expenses of ferry and fuel, to go after a deer on the Mainland.

Sheep come to mind. Positives- I love the taste of them, (California Bighorn anyways, as that's the only wild sheep I have eaten). I have never harvested one before. Nice country to hunt. Negatives- Odds are not so good, long distance travel, and expense is required, not a lot of meat in return.

I can't enter for another elk on the Mainland, which would be nice. (They really should allow two entry's for elk, if one is for Roosevelt).

Goat..hmm I really haven't heard anything good about goat meat. Limited quantity as well.

Grizzly- I consider a trophy species, not one for the freezer.

Bison seems to be the best choice. Loads of meat, interesting hunt, new country to see. Problem is I don't own a ATV, or a snowmobile, and I gather you need one or another for hunting them. It may also be hard to find a partner who can afford to take the time, and expense, to come along with me, and not even be able to hunt. Odds are pretty long as well, but again you never know unless you try.

So? Any suggestions what to do with this third entry card? Can I simply hang on to it and use it next year?

Put in for the bison, you can rent a snow machine if you have too, and there are ways to find someone to tag along for the experience.

I ended up putting in for just Elk and moose. I'm pretty sure I can use my left over entry for next years draws.

Anybody know when we can check for results on-line, this year?
