firearms with no serial number?

I recently registered some old .22's that had no serial numbers on them.
I rec'd the registrations, but no stickers with a number, like I did several years ago, to apply to these firearms.
Personally I thought the stickers were a bad idea, as gun oil and self adhesive stickers don't mix very well.

Have they stopped this practice of stickers being provided, or did some government worker slip up, and forget to mail them to me?

I don't think they provide the stickers any more.

Huh! I could have just used my other registrations, as two of them are the exact same model..and I would only have one with me at any given time..
