Hunting new area

hi guys, i'm a new member and rookie hunter (three years). i've recently won a LEH for unit 7 16 zone, summer hunt. the problem is i've never hunted in this area before. is there anyone out there who could give me and my buddy a few tips of this area??? i'm not asking for your secret hunting spots, i would just like a few tips for for my first big hunting trip. by-the-way my home stomping ground is region 8.

im sorry ive never hunted that area before, although Ive passed by many times and have seen a large number of moose by Mackenzie

thanks, its a summer hunt so i hope it's still not to hot...

There is good moose hunting in 7-16....there are some good meat cutters close by [Hunnifords] so don't worry if it's a little warm just take your meat in right away.


Do you have any idea at all where to start looking? or where your staying??

nope!!! we don't know where we are going. my buddy and i have never been up to that neck of the woods before, so we're pretty much open to any suggestions you guys might have...
did i mention we are in region 7 16 zone "c"
it's for the summer hunt, my buddy and i are limited for our time in the bush!!! due to work and family stuff.

7-16 zone C, a great moose spot would be off the north fraser road, it runs along the [north side of] fraser river to the mcGregor river, you could turn north from there and head up towards otter lake. do you have a rec atlas?? if you don't i suggest you buy one. The north fraser road is a moose hot spot, there is good trout fishing in Avril lake.
