island deer

W ell its going to start soon .wife took a smelly buck yesterday . neck wasn't swollen yet . think he was just starting . he had a hole threw his ear
guess his luck just ran out .Anyone else seeing any movement

Seeing lots of does and fawns, but no bucks hanging with them..

Hole in ear? Perhaps it was into body piercing?

Up here on the North Island, buddy got a two point yesterday that was not rutting yet. No open/stinky glands and no swollen neck. He was with another two point walking a road at 9:30.

Was out today in the monsoon and saw nothing, walked a lot of mature and second growth timber. Buddy hunted the blocks as saw nothing as well. We probably got 50 mm of rain today, it was sure raining!!!!

Congrats to your wife....any picts??
