A little disturbing

Back from our Moose hunt, saw something a little disturbing while there. We were hunting the Johston creek area south west of Hudsons Hope. Came across a gutted and skinned cow moose left in the bush to rot, dont know if it was poached or shot by the Saulteau first nations as they had a large cultural (hunting camp) set up 3 or 4 kilometers from the kill.

Pretty sad..I wonder if after they went to all the work they discovered it had a disease, or perhaps was left to long before they found it, and meat had soured?

Not all that old when we found it, no bugs yet but ravens were having a feast.

I have found game like that or deer that was never walked up to shot at long range and the shooter to lazy to go and see.
It's a dam waste it stays with me a long time. I hate when I spend two days tracking a bad shot and have to let him recycle but to actually just not care it is too much.
