Looking for help on bear hunt!
Hi everyone, I was at Squamish Valley road yesterday trying to tag my first bear. For the whole day, I only seen one bear 500+ yds away which is on the other side of river! (At appox 34 mile) But I have no idea how to find the bear, I checked most of the logging road, and we drove up and down like 3 times. Is that anything we do wrong? Please help !! Thanks

Bears
If you feel comfortable hunting via logging roads then you have every right too, that bear most likely walked behind a tree, bush or whatever. With these hot days you will see way more than one bear a day so dont worry about filling your tag so quickly. In May ill see 5-10 bears a day and im never rushed to tag out.

Patience, you need to have that for hunting.
Bears will be out in force in a couple weeks so you will not have a problem finding them. Road hunting is one of the best ways to hunt them, drive along a valley, stopping every once and a while and spend some time glassing the hills, looking for a bear. Glass and drive is a very productive way to find bears. Good luck Cheers SS

Some young bears think they are hiding because they can't see you. I've had a couple that just had their head behind a tree and look at you for a couple seconds and then put their head back behind the tree, but I could see the whole bear except for the head.
