moose populations

according to a an alberta moose study , a leh for both cow and bull moose is benifiscial to the moose .As apposed to an open season for bull only . The bull to cow ratios are better ,higher numbers of calves and the moose densities were higher . This makes me think that it would also apply to other species
deer elk . I've noticed in an area on the island where both doe and bucks are
taken there are a lot of bucks . makes me think that a province wide leh for does would not harm the population .If it benifits the deer and generates revenue for the gov. Perhaps it could be a good idea .
I've also noticed low fawn numbers where it is just open for bucks .
Any thoughts .

Any thoughts? The leh sucks...better to have a limited cow/doe opening. As for generating revenue for the govt...they already pick our pockets enough for everything we undertake in the outdoors with very little of that going back into conservation or enforcement.

If you haven't noticed they have been opening up the antlerless seasons quite a bit here in BC, and lowering the point count requirements on bull elk in some MUs the last couple of years.
