Peace Elk Hunt
My family and I were successful in the massive elk draw for Region 7-20 , which includes portions of other regions for this particular draw. We are heading to the Peace on Boxing Day for about a week. I have some property lined up for the hunt, but apparently there have not been many elk in that area as of late. I'm wondering if anyone knows of some contacts, especially farmers, in the Ft. St. John/Dawson Creek/ Hudson's Hope area where they would be happy to be rid of a few elk after Christmas. At one time, I think that the MOE put out a list of farms who were open to hunters on an appointment basis.
Any help would be appreciated. It is a long drive from the Lower Mainland to the Peace to come home empty-handed. Please feel free to PM me if you have a contact. Thanks Pablo

I hope your hunt goes okay. I have a draw as well and will be going out starting in January.

we are getting out in a week, i have two properties to hunt. One has cows and another has bulls. The property with the bulls has set dates when you can hunt, hopefully i can make it happen. I hear they have many bulls and lots of 6 pointers

we are leaving Wednesday, the property has 34 bulls and two antlerless elk yesterday when i called. A father and son were going to behunting the property this morning i was told, both have tags.
