If you are an evacuee please feel free to contact me by pm. I will help any way I can. Place to stay, place to park a trailer. I also know of a very, very good local kennel for dogs.

The evacuation alert has been lifted for those of us on the East side of the Fraser.

The little bit of rain we had overnight has also cleaned the air a bit.

Here in the Cariboo the biggest complex of fires are West of Williams Lake starting at the top of the Sheep Creek Hill and North to Marguerite. The area around Alexis Creek is in pretty rough shape thanks to a series of large fires there.

South of Williams Lake and West of 100 Mile House on the East side of the river the Dog Creek- Canoe Creek area is still smoldering.

North - West of Quesnel starting near Pantage Lake and heading North West over to Kluskus Country and up to Batnuni Lake is really nasty. Lots of fuel on the ground thanks to the Pine Beetle infestation will probably see these fire smoldering until a good snow cover is established this winter.
