Thinking of a New ATV Arctic Cat (Diesel)

Well after my Buffalo hunt, with my Yamaha Grizzly 600.cc acting up, I got talking with my uncle. Man it would be nice to get a newer ATV, a Diesel model, to which I didnt think was out there until just now surfing the net.

My question is has anyone tried the Artic Cat 700 with the Diesel?
Since my truck is also Diesel there would be no wasted gas like this past hunt. I would rather play with Diesel in the bush then Gas, as I know the damage gas does to equipment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just wondering what people's thought are on the Artic Cat's?? I've been a Honda and Yamaha person when it has come to ATV's..

i have a 2009 AC Mudpro, and alot of friends drive AC.

I like mine alot on have not heard any complaints from friends about theirs.

As for the Diesels, i have not drove 1, so i have no opinion, but if they are built like the others im sure they will be built good, and have alot of power

Arctic cats are ok, I own one. I would go with a honda, and sacrifice the gas. Wat more dependable for shure. My cat has let me down once in the field, a broken axle, and I wrench on it a few times a year! It is only 10 grand try it out if you don't like it.............................. Moosin

Polaris used to have a diesel, They stopped making them because there wasnt much interest in them, They thought farmers, minners and hunters And logging would want them. I bet they would be fun to pull start.

Diesel atv ?

My suzuki king quad 700 will barely start @ -5c.Any Diesel without a turbo has a terrible power to weight ratio.Might stink like heck in the cold.Imagine packing extra fuel and having it leak on your gear? I would try to go unline and search for unbiased opinions. What if you got low on fuel and needed to borrow fuel on a trip?Far more cons then pros on that deal. Thats just my 2 cents worth.Go online searching for unbiased owners if you can.

Silent Wolf , My son is an apprentice motorcycle mechanic and his dealership sells Yamaha and Arctic Cat. He tells me i can never buy an Arctic Cat because they are a Piece of S--t. The good side is the Arctic cats keep him comfortably employed. I'll talk to him about the diesels and send you a PM.
Myself I am a Yamaha fan. My son also races competitively in AB and Yamaha turned out to be the bike of choice after running others.

Thanks Springer,

I've got the Yamaha 600 Grizzly now with low km's on it.... Only downfall with this one is she loves to suck the fuel back.

I run a 700 Grizzly and i agree it enjoys its fuel, but its reliable ,powerful, comfortable. Myself a little extra fuel is no big deal especially for the amount i run it in a year. The cost of a newer one that burns less fuel is still more $$ than using some extra fuel when i ride.
I carry a reserve tank if i need it or someone else does.
I guess it depends on what riding we use or 4 wheelers for.

So i checked on the Diesel and apparently there's not enough info because they are so new. I like the clearance on the AC's but the breaking down part concerns me.

With all 4 wheelers its important on changing fluids and maintaining them just like our personal vehicles.

Thumbs up Diesel atv

I own a 07 AC diesel and untill you use one dont knock them. great fuel economy, never has broken down, starts everytime in winter(stored outdoors) and goes thru anything I come across. Hauls anything I choose and TRV chassis lets me bring a freind along legally.
