Two guns for sale:
Marlin 1895-.45-70, 336 action, straight grip, '70's vintage, bought NIB by me in 1995.
It has had just over 200 rounds of jacketed ammo plus about 100 max. of cast through it, this because I have a LOT of guns and seldom shoot many of them. I added a Pachmayr Decelerator, Sporting Clays style for quick mounting, plus a Wild West Ghost Ring rear and Marble's Sourdough front. It has a few tiny marks on the varnish and the metal is at least 99% and it shoots VERY well. This is a good buy at $700.00 plus any shipping. SOLD-20-05-09 Ruger Redhawk stainless 5.5" with Pachmayr Grippers, original boxes, if I can find them and about 300 rounds through it, if that. I bought this years ago and never even look at it and have not shot it in years. This is a good gun for a bushworker, but, I am retired and not much into handguns, anyway. These now retail over a grand here in Vancouver, so Italian Sports told me today. I think that $650.00 plus shipping would be fair. I would take $1250.00 CASH plus shipping for both guns and these would be an excellent pair for a working bushman in Grizzly country. So, BUY them, as I have no room in my safes and will never use these. I will not "deal" on the prices, they are fair and I am not into trades, unless it is a high quality classic bolt rifle, such as a Brno 21/22, ZG-47, Parker-Hale Hussar or maybe a FN Deluxe from 1946-48 and anything MUST be 85% or better. Hi,
I saw your posting for the two guns you have for sale. I am interested in the Marlin 1895 rifle. Do you have some pics you could send me? Do you have any idea about how much the shipping would be to Vancouver Island? Thanks Steve |

I have no way to taking or sending pix, sorry, I am too "old school" for that. The rifle is close to new in appearance and looks just like a "Guide Gun", but, with a 22" barrel rather than the stubby 18.5" GG version. I find this better as it balances far better for off-hand shooting and does not have the same muzzle jump and muzzle blast as the short GG does, plus you get better velocities.
Shipping by Canada Post to V.I. is about $15.00, IIRC, from selling some other pieces recently. Anyway, I will take $15.00 to send it and if it costs a bit more, I will just absorb that myself. If, you want to see it and can come to Vancouver, I am happy to have you come to my humble home and check it out, as long as you have your P.A.L. with you. You can also PM or e-mail me for my phone no. and then call, if you like. Just to be clear, I WILL NOT move on the price. |
